Welcome to Trinity3D.com
Support.
NOTICE:
3ds
max 4 uses a 'virtual' hardware lock that both max and Cebas plugins
are authorized to. It is an invisible file 3ds max creates on your
hard drive when you install 3ds max. Do not uninstall 3ds max without
first saving your license! 3ds max provides a license transport
utility (see Start/discreet/3ds max/License Transport Utility) for
the purpose of moving your hardware lock to another PC. The license
transport utility requires you to have a code number from another
PC before you can export the license. You can "dock" the
license on any other PC temporarily if you are swapping hard disks
on your primary PC. Both discreet and Cebas will not give you new
codes if you lose your original hardware lock code, because it will
be indistinguishable from a completely new additional installation
of the software.
