Xfrog 4.2 for CINEMA 4D is a Popular Organic Modeling and
Animation Plugin Application available for C4D R 9.5 (and
earlier) releases of CINEMA 4D, Windows and Max OS X, with native language ports
for english, japanese, german, and french users.
Xfrog 4 for CINEMA 4D, is a port of our Xfrog 3.5 standalone software, rewritten
as a plugin which is entirely inside CINEMA 4D, which adds several powerful new
Objects to the C4D Toolbar. In addition, with Xfrog 4.2, we have added new
features to our core functionality, such as pruning, and
directional/vector-based tropism controls.
Xfrog 4.2 for CINEMA 4D, is also partnered with DiTools,
another bundle of Objects for C4D users, and we suggest that you consider a
combination of
Xfrog + DiTools, which adds over 30 new Objects
to CINEMA 4D.

integration we have created.
If you are looking for a way to model and animate organic shapes inside CINEMA,
or simply need more tools in your toolbar that can kick the competition, you may
want to try out Xfrog 4 for CINEMA 4D + DiTools 1.4, and see what all the hype
is about.

Xfrog 4.2 adds a number of procedural Objects to CINEMA 4D. By combining these
Objects with each other and with any other Object within CINEMA 4D you can
quickly build a wide variety of organic models and animations.
 |
The Branch Object is for
easily setting up elaborate multi-level branching structures with
numerous parameters to give them a natural look. |
 |
The Phyllotaxis Object
arranges other Objects on an abitrary surface of revolution, according
to the rules of nature (golden section). It is, for example, used in the
sunflower example above to arrange petals and seeds. |
 |
The Hydra Object arranges
Objects in a circular pattern. |
 |
The Curvature Object creates
Splines which can be used as a basis for naturally curved leafs or
twigs. |
 |
The Variation Object allows
you to use multiply different Objects with Branch, Phyllotaxis and
Hydra. |
 |
The Tropism Object lets your
spline-based objects (like the Branch, but also the CINEMA 4D SweepNURBS)
bend towards an abitrary direction or position. |
 |
The Deviation Object is a
simple way to add natural detail to your Branches, by deviating a Branch
Object at the places where other Branches emerge. |
Combining these powerful new Objects together with existing Objects enables
you to easily create complex organic models and animation far beyond the
existing capabilities of CINEMA 4D software.

All the Objects can be animated by varying their parameters, such as number
of branches, strength of attraction, gravity, phototropism. With such
techniques, a convincing flower can be built and animated very easily, or a tree
can be modeled and grown. All of CINEMA 4Ds animation curve editing features can
be used, as well as XPresso.

Xfrog software and XfrogPlants are used by many production houses (Disney
Imagineering, Digital Domain, ILM, Pixar, Sony Imageworks, etc) and we have
thousands of individual customers worldwide. The most popular software is Xfrog
3.5 standalone, however Xfrog 4 usage is rapidly growing. A large number of
customers purchase XfrogPlants, our large collections of over 1500 plant models
in 21 libraries, all created with Xfrog and shipping in 9 formats of 3D data.
Shows - The Incredibles, War of the Worlds, The Polar Express,
Batman and Robin, The Time Machine, Blueberry/The Renegade, all used Xfrog or
XfrogPlants (or both). All Trees in Polar Express are XfrogPlants except a few..
And they hold up great, especially in stereo IMAX.
Xfrog 4.2 for CINEMA 4D is a Plugin for CINEMA 4D 9.5 and
earlier(8.1+)
The main new feature introduced with Xfrog 4.2 is support for Pruning.
This extremely powerful tool allows you to use arbitrary geometric objects as
Branch growth limit, or cut Branches where they hit an object. This allows you
to control exactly what shape your object grows into or define places where it
shouldn't grow.

Xfrog 4.2 can also create Start and End Caps for Branch Objects. This
is especially helpful, when the new Pruning feature is used to cut Branches.
Invisible Selections and useful Texture Coordinates are automatically created to
apply different Materials to the Branches.

Many bugfixes and a great number of internal improvements are also included
in Xfrog 4.2
