V11:R2 - Total Textures "Alien Organic"

Welcome to the new upgraded v11 Collection: Alien Organic The original v11 was created in 2006 utilizing the best methods and technology of the time. Since then techniques and technology have both moved forward, and here at 3DTotal we felt that, although the original collection is still widely used and highly regarded amongst artists and studios of all calibers, it was time for an update!

The Alien Organic textures are a collection of Alienesque organic textures. From the weird and slimy, to more subtle toned skins, these textures are made up from many layers and elements captured by 50% photography and 50% hand painted. Many textures have several combined layers resulting in the examples you can see here. Of course like all of our textures they are 100% seamless and have additional hand crafted extras such as matching bump and specular maps.

This version contains 164 individual materials, comprising of over 492 individual, hand-crafted texture maps. Every texture now has its own unique color map, bump map and specular maps.

Here is the DVD's full contents:
The textures are split into 2 main sections, categorized by firstly color, then sets. The color textures are basically arranged by whatever the dominant color is within the texture. These textures are however very flexible and can be color changed to suit your needs. The texture sets are designed to be used as a group in their entirety to fully map a character, and are thus broken into categories that correspond to the various body parts. There are 2 maps aimed at texturing the body (front and back) which can be placed alongside each other, as the vertical edges match creating a seamless "wrap around". Likewise, there are 2 sets for both the arms and legs, plus a tentacle version. The idea is that each texture can be combined to help create a complete map across an entire mesh, and one that describes the numerous areas of detail and keeps the style consistent throughout.

Important Information: As the New Total Textures V11 : R2 has 3 times the content over the old CD we have had to make them DVD's so please make sure that you have a DVD Rom Drive on your computer before purchasing.
