Referencing —Collaborative Framework
Delta Referencing technology is a breakthrough approach to collaborative 3D

store 3D assets, and the changes made to those assets, in external files that

Completely Revamped Rendering Core
The XSI rendering core has been completely revamped for increased performance,

and user-defined render channels using integrated framebuffers. Special render
tree nodes make it easy to extract any portion of any material's render tree to
a framebuffer and output it to file as part of a render pass.
XSI 6 also features a new rendering API that allows

options, and can take advantage of state-of-the-art SOFTIMAGE|XSI shading and

directly in XSI's built-in compositor, making it easy for you to deform textures
