Posters are printed direct digital to photo paper at a professional lab - no inkjet or other print process.

The process:

1. You provide your videos to us for capture. In addition, you can send us your photos in digital format (note that we can scan your slides, negatives, or photo prints for additional charge, contact us for a quote). We expect to be able to get from you at least 4 hours of varied videotape from which to capture. The amount of video can be offset with lots of photographs, provided by you on CD-ROM or uploaded to our FTP. For a guideline:

You can supply us with:

• 2000 or more photos, OR
• 2 hours of video + 500 or more photos, OR
• 4 hours of video + 200 or more photos, OR
• 6 hours of video and no photos

These will all yield good results. Fewer images may reduce the quality of the final mosaic. Video needs to be VHS or S-VHS. We will return all your materials. But it's a good idea to not send originals in case items are lost in transit. You can minimize this risk by packing your stuff carefully and shipping via FedEx with insurance.

2. You specify or indicate your preference for matte color and title/font for the image, if any. If you can provide a rough guide we will use our judgement to make the most attractive result.

3. In about 5 business days, we produce a "proof" image of the proposed mosaic for you to check out. We will email you a link that lets you view this in any web browser. One proof image will be large, for you to check individual tiles, and one will be small to help you judge the finished mosaic from a distance. You can let us know if some tiles need to be swapped out because you dislike them for whatever reason. You can also ask us to include up to 10 specified images somewhere in the mosaic and we will do so, making them fit perfectly.

4. On your approval of the proof, we will complete the mosiac and ship it to you. We ship via FedEx to help insure safe return of your materials and your finished photo print. You should have your picture mosaic within 1 week of approving your proof!
